Three Facts about George Bush

George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States, was in office from 2001 to 2009. He is known for his controversial presidency and for being at the forefront of major events such as the September 11th terrorist attacks and the War on Terror. Here are three interesting facts about him:

  1. He was the first U.S. President to earn a Master’s degree.

George W. Bush earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1975, making him the first president to hold a graduate degree. This degree allowed him to have a successful career as a businessman before entering politics.

  1. He is one of only two presidents who are sons of a former president.

George W. Bush’s father, George H.W. Bush, was the 41st president of the United States. This makes them one of only two father-son pairs to hold this position, the other being John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

3.He is an avid sports fan and has owned a Major League Baseball team.

Growing up, George W. Bush was always interested in sports and played baseball, basketball, and football throughout his school years. As an adult, he owned the Texas Rangers baseball team from 1989 to 1998 before selling his shares to become Governor of Texas. He also famously threw out the first pitch at a New York Yankees game just months after the September 11th attacks.
